Titanic Jewels Go On Display

Posted by Tricia Moore

Most of the recovered Titanic jewelry will go on display soon in a 3 city tour. The jewelry comes from a single purser’s bag found in 1987 during a research and recovery mission. It includes diamond and sapphire rings, brooches, necklaces, cuff links and a gold pocket watch. Conservators and curators have been preserving and studying the jewelry to gain better understanding of individual passengers’ lives aboard the Titanic. After a two-month exhibit at Premier’s display gallery at the Atlantic Station development, the jewels will travel to Orlando, Florida and Las Vegas.
